Author Guidelines

Full paper submission

Authors must submit their full papers before the EXTENDED deadline, on May 15, 2018.

Please, pay attention to the paper length for authors, which is limited to 8 pages of size A4. Follow the authors' instructions. Papers not complying with the IBSBI2018 authors' instructions will not be included in the proceedings. The paper should be submitted in both Word and PDF format. An extended two pages abstract must also be prepared following the same instructions for authors.

Note that abstract acceptance does not mean automatic acceptance of the paper. The extended papers are peer reviewed and thus, the final decision for paper acceptance will be made on the basis of this final paper review after the final paper submission.

The presenting authors must register and pay the registration fee before the deadline of 20 June 2018, in order to be their paper included in the Conference Proceedings.

Call for Abstracts (New Deadline)

The Scientific Committee invites all participants wishing to contribute their work to the 3rd International Conference of Bridges IBSBI 2018, to submit a short abstract (up to 300 words) by February 7, 2018 (FINAL deadline), to ibsbi2018@ntua.gr. Abstracts received after this date will not be considered.

The abstract should clearly indicate the content of the paper and highlight its contribution to advance the knowledge in the respective area of research. Please do not forget to mention all authors’ full name and affiliation (institution, department, city, country, e-mail address).

Authors will be notified about the safe receipt of their abstract by e-mail and a number will be assigned to each abstract. If the same author wants to submit more than one abstract, this should be done separately. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The authors will be notified by e-mail about their abstract acceptance.

Most authors who will present their work at the conference, will be invited to submit an extended version of their research paper for review and publication in the International Journal of Bridge Engineering with no additional cost.
